Saturday May 14th Food Drive

Coming up in May, you can easily be involved in supporting Open Doors. Local post office letter carriers will be picking up sacks filled with of non-perishable food items. Place your donations at your mailbox. All donations will go to local food pantries including Open Doors. This is our largest single source of food donations, so please contribute.

Also watch for information that is supposed to be left in your mailboxes by Wednesday or Thursday May 11 or 12 by postal delivery person.

Volunteers will be needed to help unload truck loads of food at the Open Doors Service Center Saturday May 14 between 3 p.m. – 7p.m. Needed are 12-18 volunteers between 3 pm. & 5 pm and another group from 5 pm to 7 pm. Contact Alice Trentman at 896-3384 to notify of your desire help in either group.

After May 14th volunteers will be needed for a couple of months to sort all of the recent food donations. Individuals and groups of 5 to 8 individuals are needed per arranged schedule. Please contact Marge Smith at 896-3292 to coordinate a time.
