City Connections Report 1/17/2012

Thanksgiving:

Helped 237 families or approximatelv 900 indiyiduals.

14,500 pounds of food

Over 100 volunteers participated including church members, business, & citv employees includinq police & fire and Public Works Departments

Thanks to the many different churches, Westfield Public Works, Cave & Companv, Lions Club, Rotarv Club, Westfield Teachers & Staff, Student lmpact WMS 8th grade BB Team, Boy Scouts, Kroser & Meijer Stores, Whittler Orthodontics, and Westfield Mom's Club.


Christmas Sweat Suits:

Served 277 families or 556 children

Besides all who gave about 20 volunteers were involved.


New Christmas Toys:

214 children of Open Doors clients received A new toy along with a choice of used toys and "Like New " Clothing.

Additionallv 32, rebuilt used bikes were given out.

Thanks to the supporting churches, Busby Eve Care. Health Source of Carmel and members of Hamilton County HRPDA who provided the new toys.


Spring Cleaning products will be collected during March for April give out.

At your table is a list of needed cleaning supply items.

Final noteworthv item is that Open Doors is an all volunteer organization. lf you are interested in donating some time to Open Doors there is a list on your table of where volunteers are needed. Please take one.
